Walt Trigger wins a shooting competition and wins a pair of unique silver pistols. Later, his competitor, Tad Stevens, attacks. Walt uses the pistols to wound him, but Tad escapes. That night, a bank robbery takes place, and a guard is shot with a silver gun. Walt is blamed and jailed.
Wayne sets out to seek evidence to free his brother. He first questions the banker Mason who organized the shooting competition. Finding him innocent, Wayne then tracks down Tad, who is also not responsible for framing Walt. Finally, Wayne visits Harvey the gunsmith who secretly created a second set of silver guns and used them to frame Wayne's brother. Wayne apprehends Harvey while protecting the secret that he has been substituting himself for his brother.
