Synopsis:
Rip Hunter is contacted by Professor Binns, a scientist who has discovered an ancient growth formula. Unfortunately, his assistant Dr. Halsey has gone mad and is creating giant insects. Rip and his team travel into the past to find an antidote.
In the 16th century, Rip searches for the legendary alchemist Archarus. He finds a giant man tied to the ground and about to be executed. Rip saves the man, who in turn leads them to Archarus. Archarus and three of his friends have been turned into giants by the formula. Rip holds off an army bent on killing the giants, until the alchemist concocts an antidote.
Rip returns to the present with the antidote. Halsey has created an entire swarm of giant insects. Rip makes a smoke cloud using the antidote, changing all the insects back to normal. Halsey is then taken into custody.
